Add to your collection of timeless treasures with this quality line of Shoji Doors. Blending traditional Japanese design and distinctive styling, this sliding shoji door kit will transform any space into a calming, relaxing environment. The kit includes the upper and lower rails, two side supports, two double sided shoji screen panels and hardware. Easy to install, it slides effortlessly on double routed wood tracks. Shoji-style doors are versatile and can be installed in almost any living space, including use as closet doors or to cover glass sliders.

Beautifully handcrafted with exception to detail at every level, these doors are made of solid Asian hardwood. The design features a double sided wood lattice, with a 4 x 13 rectangular grid design. The mortise & tenon hardwood frame is fully hand finished with your choice of colors and sealed with a clear protective varnish.

The double sided doors are available in: Natural, Honey (as shown), Walnut, Cherry and Black. If you are doing comparison pricing, please note that these doors have the wood grid-work visible on both sides for both aesthetics and integrity and a kickboard at the base of each panel. The dimensions for the rough opening are approx: 81.5"H x 72"W x 3.5"D per kit.

The 'rice paper' is made from a reinforced, puncture resistant soft composite paper called "Taf Top" traditionally used in Japan. It is sturdy, moisture and puncture resistant while still allowing filtered light through. This set is boxed as a kit and we are not able to provide custom sizes or single door panels. You may wish to contact a local designer or carpenter to work with you to accommodate sizing for your door opening.
