The standard tatami mat measures 90cm x 180cm x 5.5cm (35.5" X 71" x 2.25") and weigh approximately 55 lbs each. The half mat measures 90 cm x 90 cm (35 1/2" x 35 1/2" x 2 1/4") and weighs 35 lbs. To create a custom room, you may fill open areas with finished wooden borders around the tatami or you may also be interested in the tatami mat platform (available separately) which holds a 9' x 9' tatami mat set perfectly.
