TATAMI mat materials
Our mats are carefully crafted by weaving a Japanese Rush Grass called Igusa in a double layer top which has dried for one full year, and baked at very high temperatures to create a pest free, sterile fill that are safe for your home. The double top layers are sewn together with a black fabric border and bound by organic twine. Our Tatami all have a moisture resistant barrier at the foundation. Our mats are very high quality and are made under strict manufacturing standards and our producer has won numerous awards for quality in tatami production.
